 Introduction:

Singapore People's Association launched an active campaign on September 8th under its well coordinated initiative. Walking and running events will take place in various neighborhoods as part of this campaign. Participants are encouraged to donate $1 for every kilometer they cover with all proceeds going towards local charities that support underprivileged groups thus bringing a noble purpose to each step taken.

The campaign was inaugurated by Chairman Tharman Shanmugaratnam, adding credibility and visibility to the cause. The campaign has received support from local businesses and non-profit organizations, providing resources, sponsorships and logistical support. The campaign is set to run until the end of November providing ample time for community participation.
